It isn't finished yet, but it's looking so much better. Many thanks to Brian and his dad as well as Everette and Dallas. I am really happy with the color. We're in discussion about the door color (red or strip the color and go natural) as well as the shake shingles to go on the front porch.

Your house is SO pretty! I love that style! I love a red door, but your other idea sounds so neat too! :) I have always wanted to live in an older home (and an older neighborhood), but I am scared about the maintenance. Anthony isn't too handy, and I am scared about not knowing when something will break down. But, they have so much character! I love your hydrangeas too. We have those and they are my favorite!
Michelle, it looks fantastic. I'm really impressed! And... not that we have a lot in common or anything ... but I would totally go for a red door! We're debating whether or not to strip our front door of its varnish or whatever, so we can paint it. It seems wrong, since it's never been painted, but we may do it anyway.
