As we were driving through downtown Lafayette the other day, we passed by Trinity UMC. Elijah exclaims, "1869 !! Mom, that church was built in 1869. That's the same year Henri Matisse was born."

Michelle he is a sponge. We never know what will be absorbed and why. He went to art camp this summer right.
They've been studying Matisse in his art class at school, so it's not totally a random fact.
